At The Tallow Company, we're committed to getting our handcrafted tallow skincare products to you safely and efficiently. Please review our shipping policy below for important information about processing times, shipping methods, and delivery expectations.

Processing Time

Order Processing: 1-3 business days

  • All orders are processed Monday through Friday (excluding holidays)
  • Orders placed after 2:00 PM EST will be processed the following business day
  • During peak seasons or promotional periods, processing may take up to 5 business days
  • Custom or special orders may require additional processing time

Shipping Methods & Rates

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location, package weight, and selected shipping method.

Domestic Shipping (Canada)

Standard Shipping (Canada Post Regular Parcel)

  • Delivery Time: 5-10 business days
  • Cost: Calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight

Expedited Shipping (Canada Post Expedited)

  • Delivery Time: 2-5 business days
  • Cost: Calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight

Express Shipping (Canada Post Xpresspost)

  • Delivery Time: 1-3 business days
  • Cost: Calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight

International Shipping

United States

  • Standard International: 7-14 business days
  • Expedited International: 5-10 business days
  • Cost: Calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight
  • Please note: US customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or fees that may apply

Special Handling for Tallow Products

Our tallow-based products are natural and temperature-sensitive:

  • Hot Weather Shipping: During summer months (May-September), we may delay shipping to ensure product quality
  • Cold Weather Protection: Products are carefully packaged to prevent freezing damage during winter shipping
  • Expedited shipping is recommended for orders during extreme weather conditions

Order Tracking

  • Tracking information will be provided via email once your order ships
  • You can track your package using the Canada Post website or app
  • For international orders, tracking may be limited once the package reaches the destination country

Shipping Restrictions

We currently ship to:

  • All provinces and territories in Canada
  • United States only

We do not ship to:

  • PO Boxes for expedited services (standard shipping only)
  • Remote or restricted postal codes may incur additional fees

Delivery Information

  • Signature Required: Expedited and Express shipments may require signature upon delivery
  • Safe Delivery: We are not responsible for packages marked as delivered by the carrier
  • Address Accuracy: Please ensure your shipping address is complete and accurate. We cannot be responsible for delays or returns due to incorrect addresses

Damaged or Lost Packages

  • Damaged Items: Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of damaged products
  • Lost Packages: Contact us if your tracking shows delivered but you haven't received your order. We'll work with the carrier to investigate
  • Insurance: All orders over $100 CAD are automatically insured

Returns & Exchanges

Please refer to our separate Refund Policy for information about returns and exchanges. Note that return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error.

Holiday and Peak Season Shipping

  • Holiday Deadlines: Specific cutoff dates for holiday delivery will be posted on our website
  • Peak Season Delays: Expect longer processing and shipping times during Black Friday, holiday seasons, and promotional periods
  • Weather Delays: Canadian winters may cause shipping delays beyond our control
